Mann, Frau. Frau, Frau. Mann, Mann. Über Bord mit den Konventionen! Es ist Zeit für die nackte Wahrheit und das Ausleben der Sehnsucht, meinen Kenneth Loe, Jovan Glušica, Joanna Woś und Ilija Vujošević.
Zwischen Begierde und Geschlechterordnung. Eine Verführung der Heteronormativität durch die Lust zeigt Kenneth Loe beim Take Parcours in Kooperation mit anderen jungen, internationalen Künstlern.
Der Ursprung des Projekts liegt im Buch “Mirror Mirror: A Social History of Fashion“ von Michael und Ariane Batterberry. Dieses stellt zugleich die Einleitung der Installation dar. Inhaltlich ist dort die Rede von dem perfekten Rokoko-Kleid aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Hier geben die Künstler eine asymmetrische Sichtweise auf die Normen von Sexualität.
Die Arbeit ist ein Herzensprojekt von Kenneth Loe und Jovan Glušica. Seit drei Jahren wollen sie eine Installation über Reize und Textilien präsentieren. Joanna Woś und Ilija Vujošević wurden dafür auch ins Boot geholt und gemeinsam geben sie einen Einblick in ihre Perspektive auf Sehnsucht, Verlangen, Traditionen und Konventionen. Fetische aus Stoff wie Latex, Spitze und Satin versprechen eine erotische Momente mit Mode.

Drei Fragen an Kenneth Loe
What are you doing in your freetime?
Jovan and I run Cheapmozart Vintage, featuring an assortment of second-hand and vintage garments and accessories for sale via Instagram. We also work with our friend and graphic designer Maris Nisu on photo shoots and designing collaterals for Cheap Mozart. Other than that, cooking and eating with friends.
What kind of projects do you enjoy most?
I generally prefer to work on projects where I am involved from conceptualization to the end. Or rather, this has been my modus operandi for the past few years since I would not have many opportunities to show my work otherwise. I also enjoy taking on a supportive/less creative role in more politically leaning projects which I believe in but don’t quite have the time, energy or skill set for.
Where do you like spending your time?
Secondhand shops, flea markets, a terrace, balcony and anywhere swimmable in summer!
